A little about Me

Hello there! My name is Cindy Hebert. I am from the Buffalo area but lived in the South for several years. While living in NC, I attended and graduated from the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Massage in 2009. In 2014 I returned home to the Buffalo area where I attended and graduated from The New York Institute of Massage in Williamsville NY. One of the best things about what I do is meeting new people. I am a people person who loves to help others feel better so they can enjoy the things they love.

Why I Became a Massage Therapist

I became interested in Orthopedic Massage after an auto accident where I sustained a neck injury. Orthopedic Massage was so beneficial to my recovery that I decided to learn more about it. The more I learned, the more interested I became. I found there to be many health benefits associated with massage other than the obvious of loosening tight muscles, such as helping to relieve symptoms from anxiety and depression, insomnia, reducing blood pressure, improved relaxation, relief from headaches/migraines, relieving joint pain and much more. My thoughts turned to all my friends and family that were dealing with, or had dealt with those situations.

I knew if I was licensed I would be able to help them and others as well. Even if I can help just a little, I have done my job. Hearing a client say things like, “I was able to sleep in my bed for the first time in years!’ is the most rewarding part of my job”

I don’t want to stop there! My goal is to expand my practice to treat people with conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, and Parkinson disease. Overall health is important which is why I want to someday include other health professionals in my practice. By having a variety of professionals with different specialties we can better treat the whole person instead of just one area.

My clients comfort and overall experience when they come to see me is very important. I am very selective as to what product I use on my clients. I try my hardest to only use products that are safe and good for the skin. You can feel confident in knowing that the product I am using is organic and or all natural.

I also like to talk and laugh with my clients. When its someones first massage they might be a little uncomfortable so talking sometimes helps them to relax. Sometimes its to distract them when I am working on a very tight area that may cause some discomfort. Other times its to find out what they may be doing in their every day life that may be contributing to their muscular issues. If you prefer not to during your massage I am good with that as well. Just let me know before we get started.
